Third Generation Engravers

Our business has been providing Melbourne’s finest engraving services since 1946.

About Us

We take pride in our services being commissioned as the official engravers for some elite and truly Aussie applications, over many years. These include being the official engravers of the Melbourne Cup, along with handling the top-secret engraving for the Logies, and engraving one-off items for the Queen’s visit to Melbourne, among other historical and culturally important events.

The Stewart family name has been synonymous with engraving in Melbourne since the 1940’s, making us one of the oldest family-run businesses in South Melbourne. James (Jas) Stewart was truly a pioneer in the field, and began learning hand engraving in Glasgow, Scotland in 1870.

Ten years later, Jas kicked off the Stewart family tradition by opening the Glasgow Engraving Company, before eventually moving the business halfway across the world to Melbourne’s CBD.

We are proud to offer you a broad range of engraving services. If you are looking for the ideal way to commemorate or mark an event or a recent achievement, and can’t find what you’re looking for in our store, we have the in-house capabilities and expertise to custom design a trophy, award or medal to suit your individual requirements.

Well-known for delivering exquisite craftsmanship and high-quality services, our decades of experience have seen us produce bespoke, impressive trophies, craft impactful memorials, and design and produce exquisite markers of achievement and all over the country.
